It is easy to get wrapped up in the day to day of life; we forget who we are, what is important to us, and how to maintain a fulfilling life for ourselves. Over the past several months that is exactly what happened to me. Luckily, I finally noticed how disconnected I was from myself and how unbalanced my life was. Here are some strategies that helped me reconnect with my authentic self:
1) Do what you love - Make time for YOU and what you enjoy doing. For me it was about going back to baking, spending quality time with my family, and blogging.
2) Have fun – Don't take everything so seriously! To ensure that I have fun I made a list of one thing that I would do each month that was "fun and new".
3) Write down what you love about you - It is important to remind yourself just how special you are. I wrote a love letter to myself. It was difficult and awkward but well worth it in the end.
4) Try something new - Doing the same routine every day gets boring. Spice up your life and find something out about yourself by trying something new. I tied this with doing something new and came up with my monthly "new and fun".
5) Cultivate your dreams – Step into what brings you joy and bliss. For me that was reconnecting with my desire for this social community to make a difference in someone's life.

As a member and founder of Living Passionately Me, I will share with you the passions that led me to where I am today -
1. work in a capacity that lets my creativity and love flow
2. provide people with something of value that leaves them feeling whole
3. be confident to do or try anything I am interested in
4. work in an environment that I can mentor/coach others
5. work in an environment that I can learn from others and be guided by a mentor or coach
Given what I have listed above, it made sense when my husband suggested that I start this social community. What better way to live my passions then to help others live theirs! Through this experience I have never felt more alive, more happy, more...more myself! Getting in touch with my passions has led me to a beautiful life that I might not have otherwise encountered. I want to share my journey and inspire as many people as I can to find their passions. Let's all be truly happy together & live our lives as our genuine selves, just as nature intended.

I recently finished reading the book, "Taming Your Gremlin" by Rick Carson. My life coach recommended this book to me over a year ago when I was just becoming aware of my saboteur (whom I call, SMUD). I immediately bought the book, started reading it, and then for some reason, put it down. Several months later I picked it up again and decided to start over. I got a couple of chapters into the book and ended up putting it down once more! Finally, last month I recommended it to one of my…

Two months ago a close friend of mine called me up to ask if I wanted to take a gun safety class with her. I will never forget how strong my response was, "Hell no, why would I want to do that?!". I remember telling her that I had never picked up a gun so why would I want to take a safety class on something I had no interest in. My friend counter offered me an opportunity for her husband (who was licensed ) to take me to the range so I could try it. Again, I was adamant about my…
